Preethi Nallu

A co-founder of several solidarity movements herself, Amalia Zepou explains the emergence of a post-party political outlook amongst the youth, not just in Greece but across Europe, and how that has shaped their approach to finding solutions. I met her in Athens shortly following the Referendum in which Greeks voted against austerity. 

Since our conversation, Athens has won a number of awards for its civil society initiatives and was mostly recently recognized as one of the five most innovative cities in Europe for civic engagement platforms that bring together thematically linked solidarity movements. This is precisely what Zepou has been coordinating at the Athens municipality.
