Borderlands: A Journey Through India's Borders

The Project is the brainchild of Suchitra Vijayan.  She is working on a 9,000 mile journey through the borders of South Asia to better understand the human dimension of political borders. Her journeys have taken her across the Afghanistan / Pakistan border and has already taken her 2,500 miles along India's border with Bangladesh, China, and Burma. Still to come are the challenges of the India-Pakistan border including Kashmir. The Project  brings studied intelligence in conflict and anthropology as well as an emotional sensitivity to the tremors on human lives and human events caused by borders.
