In the wake of this past summer’s elections, which were tainted by myriad irregularities, the status of Vietnamese migrants has become one of the primary wedge issues between the country’s two main political parties.

Last week, the popular Facebook page Humans of New York featured a photograph of a white teacher in Harlem, the largely African-American neighborhood in Manhattan.
